Executive Coaching

Insurance Company

Situation:

Newly transitioned executive needed to adapt her style to successfully build networks of influence and engage her leadership team and department in a significant change initiative.

Approach:

Feedback from an in-person 360 degree assessment revealed that, at times, this fast-paced leader was “stepping on toes” with her impatience to make change happen immediately. Through coaching she learned to become more centered and focused, allowing her to read situations with greater discernment and engage people in more meaningful ways. Still a person to move things into action, this executive’s ability to exert influence expanded as she became more composed and insightful.

Outcomes:

  1. The change initiative was successfully completed, significantly re-energizing the department and refocusing their efforts to be more client-centered and results driven
  2. The executive was promoted into a new position where she focused on mentoring her new team to develop coaching-based leadership styles
  3. Her innovative, coaching-based approaches were recognized for creating significant improvements in her new area, and she continues to experiment with taking coaching approaches to address issues in the field.
